TWO people were rescued from a car trapped in flood water near Chester following significant rainfall.
Cheshire Fire Service confirmed they were called to an incident on Stretton Mill Lane near Farndon this evening.
Firefighters in wading gear rescued two people from a trapped car, with the road being closed in both directions. One fire engine from Malpas attended.
Heavy rainfall has battered areas of Cheshire yesterday (Ocotber 16), with a large number of roads closing due to flooding.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire Service said: "Firefighters in wading gear rescued two people from a car trapped in flood water.
"Stretton Mill Lane has been closed at both ends until the water recedes."
