TWO people had to be rescued after their car became stuck in flood water near Tarporley in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, October 17).
Three fire engines, one from Nantwich, one from Crewe and another from Lymm were called to scene on Nantwich Road shortly after midnight where a saloon had become partially submerged.
A spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A saloon car was stuck in flood water with two passengers trapped inside.
“Swift-water trained firefighters deployed to the vehicle on a raft to remove them from the vehicle and bring them to dry land.”
