Karaoke, live music, and quizzes will feature ‘prominently’ at a Cheshire West boozer after its £525k conversion into a ‘Hive Pub’.

The Broken Cross, on Brokencross Place, Rudheath, reopened on October 10, after a month-long root-and-branch refurb complete with new licensees, Sammi and Rob Garland.

The pub's owner, Greene King Ltd, describes its new Hive Pubs concept as ‘new-look, community locals’ combining an ‘exciting’ food and drink offer with ‘all the entertainment you could need’.

As well as live entertainment, this also includes Sky Sports and BT Sport subscriptions to show all major sporting events.

Hive Pubs also have regular offers, such as 2-4-1 Burger Night, Steak and Wine Night, plus a range of pizzas.

Sammi said: “Hive Pubs are all about being community first, providing everything a pub goer could want from their local, all under one roof.
