FIREFIGHTERS were called to the canal in a Cheshire town after receiving reports of a boat fire.
Three fire engines attended the scene in Sea Bank, Middlewich, shortly after midnight this morning, Tuesday.
Firefighters from Holmes Chapel, Northwich and Middlewich were called after receiving reports of a fire on a boat, which was well alight.
The crews used two hose reel jets and a light portable pump to extinguish the fire.
The boat was partially sunk, and the Canal River Trust have been informed.
