FIREFIGHTERS were called to an incident near Chester this morning (Wednesday, October 30) involving a water storage unit.
Fire engines from Chester and Nantwich arrived at Peckforton Gap, Peckforton at around 11.15am.
The fire was contained within metal ducting on a concrete water storage tank and had spread to the structure’s plastic piping.
Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire and the building was checked with a thermal imaging camera to ensure that it had been fully extinguished.
