FIREFIGHTERS rescued a person from their car after a crash outside a supermarket.

Emergency services were called to Chester Road in Hartford on Sunday (November 3).

It followed reports that a car had collided with a fence and two parked vehicles on the car park at Sainsbury’s Local

“Firefighters attended a single-vehicle road traffic collision on a supermarket car park,” said a spokesperson for Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, who sent one engine from the Northwich Station to the scene.

“One casualty was freed from the vehicle by crews.”

A Sainsbury's spokesperson added: "Emergency services attended an incident at our Hartford Chester Road Local store on Sunday afternoon."

Cheshire Police also attended the scene.

A spokesperson said: “At 3.35pm on Sunday, November 3, police were called to a collision on Chester Road, Hartford.

“Officers attended and found a car had collided with a fence and two parked cars on the Sainsbury’s Local car park.

“There were no reports of any injuries and the scene was cleared 4.20pm.”
