A FOUR-VEHICLE collision on the M53 near Ellesmere Port was attended by fire crews on Wednesday evening (November 6).
The major incident saw a total of five casualties, though thankfully none of their injuries are thought to be life-threatening.
Firefighters from Ellesmere Port, Powey Lane and Chester stations arrived at the scene between on the northbound carriageway between junctions 10 and 11 at around 6.15pm.
Medical care was given to one person who had become trapped in their vehicle as a result of the crash. Their car was then repositioned allowing them to be freed.
An additional four casualties were given first aid at the scene.
Multiple lanes were closed while the incident was dealt with, with crews in attendance for around an hour and a half.
