THE season of hot chocolate is upon us, and a retail centre is looking for delicious inspiration.

Broughton Shopping Park is calling on hot chocolate lovers across the region to share their dream flavour, with one lucky winner seeing their festive creation served up at the centre ahead of Christmas.

The winning flavour will be developed in partnership with Donut Theatre, with shoppers able to try it out as they search for the perfect Christmas outfit or gift.

Whether you're dreaming of a white chocolate Christmas, candy canes or cinnamon sprinkles, this competition offers the chance to make your Christmas wish come true.

To enter, email broughtonchristmas@citypress.co.uk, by November 20 with a short description on why your flavour tops the rest, with Broughton's judging panel selecting the winner based on taste appeal and creativity.

Donut Theatre will also be donating 50p from every limited-edition hot chocolate sold to charity, to help support those most in need across the local community over the festive season.

Alan Pruden-Barker, centre manager at Broughton, said: "This initiative follows the success of our summer ice cream competition, which saw four-year-old Isla Hughes combine her two favourite party dishes, ice cream and strawberry jelly, into the ultimate treat.

"We're hugely excited to once again be offering our customers the chance to create their very own flavour to go on sale at the centre this Christmas.

"There's no denying hot chocolate is a firm family favourite over the festive season, and we're looking forward to being able to offer our shoppers that extra special something as they visit us in December."

Jo Khanna, Donut Theatre owner, added: "We're really excited to be part of Broughton's festive celebrations this year and give our customers the chance to design their own dream hot chocolate flavour.

"We can't wait to see all of the exciting flavour suggestions and bring the winning entry to life for all to enjoy this Christmas!"
