AN international award-winning hair stylist has moved to a Cheshire town.
Jamie Benny opened his first new luxury salon on Regent Street, Knutsford, on Wednesday, November 13, after working in London’s Regent Street for 19 years.
The 34-year-old is relocating with partner Rachel and their nine-month-old daughter.
Jamie has already been overwhelmed by the welcome he has received in the town.
He said: “When we came to see the place, everyone shook my hand and introduced themselves.
“I absolutely love that.
“We strongly want to be part of the community and collaborate with all the local small businesses in the area.
“We want to give back in any way we can.”
After working in various prestigious salons and winning numerous accolades, Jamie is keen to offer Knutsford clients his unique style and flair.
“Our brand is about giving people the right education, together with the best longevity of a haircut,” said Jamie, who travels to countries across the globe coaching stylists.
“That is what makes us unique.
“We check face shape with measurements.
“I can tell you what I believe is your best feature.
“How you frame someone’s face changes their hair from looking OK to being really good.
“It doesn’t have to be radical.”
Benny & Co prides itself on creating a personal experience for every client.
Exclusive promotions are being offered to celebrate the opening.
Customers will be given 25 per cent off every colour with a cut and blow dry and 30 per cent off haircuts if recommended by a friend.
Free consultations are available.
Jamie said: “In London, I was working with prestigious luxury brands and salons.
“I showcased new trends and techniques and coached stylists in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Europe.
“It’s all about inspiring other hairdressers.
“I am passionate at what I do.”
Jamie has won countless coveted accolades including being hailed Best Hairdresser under 30 in the UK and Ireland five years ago.
“It was a pretty amazing achievement,” said Jamie.
“It was a huge dream of mine and based on your reputation and all of the work you have done throughout your career.”
Jamie was hired as an art director for brands including L'Oréal, Goldwell and Davines.
He runs a programme for young hairdressers from all over the UK and coaches them once a month.
As a mentor for the Fellowship of British Hairdressing, he has worked on photoshoots and for celebrities and brands at fashion weeks all over the world.
Now, he is keen to share his expertise with more people.
Jamie said: “We want to create beautiful, healthy hair that makes clients feel like the best version of themselves.
“We plan to set up a pop-up every month at the local market where we can engage with the community and take part in Knutsford events.
“We look forward to meeting everyone. I’m really excited to move to Knutsford. I’ve loved it from day one.
“I’ll still be working in London two days a week so I’ll be keeping up to date with the latest trends, techniques and education.”
The salon offers a range of treatments including haircuts, blow dry, colour and glossing.
