A business park previously hailed as a 'key piece of the puzzle' for the regeneration of a Cheshire West town has filled more than 90 per cent of its units.
Winnington Business Park, near Northwich, opened last year with project chiefs saying it had so far attracted a range of tenants both small and large, operating across multiple sectors.
The 126,958 sq ft development is operated by FI Real Estate Management (FIREM) and consists of industrial, start-up, trade and retail spaces.
Among the companies which have moved in so fare are Destination Padel Limited which has taken 18,665 sq ft of space on a 10-year deal. The business hopes to open its doors by the end of 2024.
Family-run retailer M6 Bed Warehouse has taken a 6,228 sq ft space and outdoor clothing and equipment manufacturer Equip Outdoor Technologies, has signed on to take up 5,134 sq ft on a 10-year deal.
Bosses said the ambition of the park was to provide 'flexible and futureproof' spaces for businesses. Located off Winnington Avenue, the site is adjacent to the 1,200-property Winnington Urban Village.
Tim Knowles, founder and managing director at FIREM, previously hailed the park as a 'key piece of the puzzle' for Northwich's regeneration when it opened its doors last year.
He said: "The popularity of Winnington Business Park has blown us away.
"We’ve created a site suited to a wide range of ambitious occupiers and it’s great to see the park coming to life now with a range of exciting brands trading from these spaces."
FIREM has also built 32 units exclusively for start-ups, starting from 821 sq ft, which have dedicated parking, electric roller doors, customer entrances and LED lighting and a shared courtyard.
All start-up units have now been let to a range of businesses, including confectionery e-commerce retailer, PickandMix.com, which moved in earlier this year, and an official Hyrox gym, First Space Fitness.
William Hale, founder at PickandMix.com, added: "Moving in has been a real catalyst for our growth this year. It has been one of the best investments in our business thus far and it’s exciting to see the new park coming to life as a hub of thriving businesses."
