AN air ambulance was despatched to an incident in Cheshire after a man collapsed.
Residents reported a helicopter landing at Mere cricket pitch on Tuesday.
Emergency services have confirmed that a man in his 50s sadly died at the scene.
A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “At 4.27pm on Tuesday, November 12, police were called to an address in Chester Road, Mere, following reports of a man collapsing and becoming unresponsive.
“Sadly the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“The death is not suspicious and next of kin have been informed.”
North West Air Ambulance Charity has confirmed that they were called to the incident and H72 responded.
