RAIL services between Chester and Liverpool Lime Street have been disrupted this afternoon (Wednesday, November 13) due to a number of trains requiring repairs.
Transport for Wales (TfW) has said services to and from both stations may be cancelled and the disruption is expected to last until the end of the day.
The operator cites “more trains than usual” requiring repairs “at the same time” as the reason for the cancellations, with fewer trains able to run between Chester and Liverpool.
A reduced timetable will be in place for the remainder of the day.
Six TfW trains have been cancelled throughout the evening so far, including the 16.47pm Liverpool Lime Street to Chester, and the 16.43pm Chester to Liverpool Lime Street services.
TfW are advising passengers to travel on the next available service and have apologised for any disruption to journeys.
