A CAFE has welcomed a new manager and reopened its doors to customers.
Megan Priscilla Formstone has always had an attachment to Cleopatras in Holt, close to Farndon, being a former manageress of the business before it closed.
She has finally made her lifelong dream a reality after the opportunity arose to buy the coffee shop and bistro, becoming its proud new owner.
After four-long-months, Cleopatras II reopened on November 10 following a refurbishment.
Megan said: "This project is like my little baby, I have worked so hard and it’s finally happened! A dream come true.
"I have plans to make it the heart of the village again. I have always done events so I’m aiming to have a venue that is able to cater for baby showers, christenings, birthday gatherings etc.
"We've been refurbishing and we've worked hard to get the place up to a high standard. There was previous fire damage so it's taken a little while.
"I’m hoping the cyclists return with familiar faces yet I’m excited to welcome new customers. I’m nervous but so excited as I have lots of ideas."
Holt residents have already expressed their excitement now that the much-loved brunch spot is trading once more.
"Looking forward to returning for coffee and cake", said one customer, while another said "Really looking forward to coming back for my usual refreshments."
The cafe has just launched a menu available from 9am featuring brunch/lunch options, a 'brew and butty' deal between 9am-11am, afternoon tea, a brunch box and coffee and cake. Further details available upon request.
All updates can be found on the 'Cleopatras II' Facebook page.
