THERE is major disruption on the Merseyrail network this morning (Wednesday, November 20), with a replacement bus service in operation between Hooton and Ellesmere Port.
Signalling issues at Hooton mean that the Ellesmere Port line is disrupted, with Merseyrail currently anticipating normal service to resume by around 11.30am.
Train services to Ellesmere Port may be terminated at and started back from Hooton.
Replacement road transport services are conveying passengers between Hooton and Ellesmere Port in both directions until further notice.
There is also minor disruption on the Chester line.
