FIRE crews have been working through the night at an address near Tarporley after a major fire spread throughout the property.

Seven fire engines, including one from Chester and another from Frodsham, initially arrived at the scene on Park Road, Little Budsworth at around 9.45pm last night (Thursday, November 21).

A further two crews, from Chester and Malpas, arrived in the early hours of the morning to provide relief.

The fire had spread from the ground floor through to the first floor and loft space.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and used hose reel jets to tackle the flames, a high-pressure fan and smoke screen were also used to control and clear the building of smoke.

All occupants of the property were accounted for.

The final fire crew left the area at around 8am this morning (Friday, November 22).

A fire investigation is underway to determine the cause.
