The Catholic High School in Chester recently hosted an initiative designed to foster career aspirations among schoolchildren.
The BBC Bitesize Careers Tour's visit to the school saw four sessions take place in total, each lasting between 45 minutes and one hour and led by BBC presenter Kathryn Wilson.
Students had the chance to listen to three professionals who shared their career journeys and practical advice.
The panellists were Catherine Walker, an assistant producer and freelancer; Niamh Gallagher, a frontend developer at Urban Zoo; and Jos Neath, an audience research executive with BBC Audiences.
They discussed their professional paths, qualifications needed for their roles, and the importance of work experience, as well as personal career anecdotes.
They also highlighted the "key soft skills" necessary for success in today's workplace.
The sessions included an interactive Q&A, allowing students to ask questions and gain insights into career opportunities in the area.
The Bitesize Careers Tour aims to make students aware of the diverse career options available and provide them with guidance on how to pursue their ambitions.
Mrs Cathy McKeagney, headteacher at The Catholic High School, said: "It was an incredible opportunity for our students to hear from such talented professionals.
"The event was both informative and inspiring, helping our pupils see the exciting career paths that are possible with the right mindset and preparation."
