A CHESHIRE street has been named one of the most attractive in the UK.
High Street in Great Budworth is the sixth most picturesque street in the country.
That is according to a survey conducted by SellHouseFast.co.uk in which 1,003 people were asked to rank images based on factors such as attractiveness, appeal to families and how expensive they think the houses are.
Based purely on aesthetics, High Street ranked sixth, with 17 per cent of respondents ranking it as the most charming street out of those included in the survey.
The Great Budworth road also came sixth in the category of where respondents would most like to raise a family.
Meanwhile, 24 per cent of those surveyed rated it as the friendliest looking community, putting it in second place.
Louis Woodward, estate agent at Knutsford-based Stuart Rushton and Company, said: “Great Budworth is a picturesque village with a rich historical heritage, carefully preserved by both its residents and the local authority.
“The main road, High Street, is lined with mostly Grade II listed buildings, along with a traditional church and pub.
“Modern conveniences, such as a Co-op or Tesco Express, are noticeably absent, which adds to the village's charm.
“Homeowners tend to stay in the village much longer than the average.
“The majority of properties in the village are purchased as primary residences, with very few rental options available.”
