MERSEYRAIL has announced that serviced between Liverpool and Ellesmere Port are currently affected after an earlier obstruction on the line.
According to the rail operator’s journey planner, services to and from the city’s main station and Ellesmere Port are cancelled.

There was an earlier obstruction on the line between Hooton and Ellesmere Port which has impacted on service and now there are further issues with a faulty train.
According to Merseyrail, the 11.39am Ellesmere Port to Liverpool service is cancelled as is the reverse journey setting off from 12.22pm.
