TRAFFIC on the M53 was at a standstill this morning (Wednesday, December 4) following a crash.
Merseyside Police confirmed that a road traffic collision involving an Audi and a Volkswagen Taigo took place at around 8.30am between Junction 2 and Junction three on the motorway.
Travel and traffic travel, INRIX, said: “Queueing traffic due to earlier accident on M53 Southbound from J2 (Moreton Spur) to J3 A552 Woodchurch Road (Woodchurch).
“All lanes have been re-opened.”
Police confirmed that there were no reports of any “major injuries”.
