AN ELLESMERE Port woman has shared how her life changed forever after dropping an astounding ten stone.

When Chris Robinson walked through the doors of her local Slimming World Group five and a half years ago, little did she know that it would change her life in more ways than one.

After previously struggling with her weight most of her life, Chris encouraged by a friend to join their local Slimming World group and has lost an incredible ten stone to date.

Chris said: “Slimming World set me free, the eating plan is not only liberating. The plan fits around my family and I, as well as eating the foods I love.

“I enjoy what I eat, especially adapting the plan to enable me to satisfy my sweet tooth!”

Chris shared her love of experimenting with lots of recipes, never feeling hungry, or deprived and losing weight effectively in the process.

She said that going to group helped her to discover her own personal danger zones and how to overcome them.

For Chris, her journey did not stop there.

Not only did she achieve her weight-loss dreams, she also went on to become a consultant herself.

Sitting in her weekly group, she admired her consultant and dreamt that one day she would love to do the same.

Working as a full-time project manager, and having that Monday morning dread each weekend, she craved becoming her own boss.

Slimming World gave her that opportunity – flexibility fitting around her full-time job and family commitments.

Giving up a £40k a year job, some would say Chris was crazy, but work life balance and job satisfaction was more important to her.

She took the risk and has now shared her excitement at celebrating her five-year anniversary with opening her very first Slimming World group on June 18.

“Time flies when you enjoy what you do, even though a pandemic”, says Chris.

Chris runs her successful, friendly Slimming World Group on a Tuesday morning in Ellesmere Port, currently at Trinity Methodist Church, Whitby Road.

She is moving venue on Tuesday, June 22, to The Groves Sports & Social Club Ltd, on Chester Road in Ellesmere Port. (plenty of parking and disabled access)
