THREE Cheshire Phoenix players have been selected as part of the historic return of the British Basketball League’s Men’s All-Star Game.
The showpiece event, which is back after more than a decade, sees ten players selected – a starting five and five reserves – for a North vs South showdown.
Cheshire West are well represented, with Aaryn Rai and Ethan Chargois selected by fan vote for the North Starting Five and Trophy Final MVP LaQuincy Rideau picked by coach Gareth Murray for the reserves.
The game will tip off at 3.30pm at London’s Copper Box Arena on Sunday, March 17.
The starting five for each team, as voted for by fans across the globe, is:
Men’s All-Star North Starting Five: Head Coach, Gareth Murray
- Larry Austin Jr. (C) - Guard, Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles

- Tajh Green - Forward, Seriös Group Newcastle Eagles

- Jaren Holmes - Guard, Leicester Riders

- Sam Dekker - Forward, London Lions
- Brad Greene - Centre, Bristol Flyers
Meanwhile the reserves for each roster featuring a player from each of the ten clubs, as selected by Head Coaches Petar Bozic (South) and Gareth Murray (North), are as follows:
